Jamie Dimon's Fiery Response to Devin Nunes: 'Grow Up' - JPMorgan CEO Debunks Trump Media Claims (2026)

Billionaire Jamie Dimon Pushes Back on Trump Ally: “Grow Up”

Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, challenged the leader of Donald Trump’s media venture over claims that the bank debanked the company due to political pressure from the Biden administration.

“People need to grow up here and stop making things up,” Dimon told Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures. “We do not debank people for religious or political beliefs. We’ve debanked Democrats, Republicans, and people of faith—and never for those reasons.”

Dimon’s remarks came in response to comments from Devin Nunes, a former congressman who now chairs Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board and leads Trump Media & Technology Group, which owns Truth Social. Nunes spoke with Bartiromo on the same program last month.

During the interview, Nunes referenced an ongoing investigation by Florida’s Attorney General into whether JPMorgan “coordinated” with the Biden Justice Department to hand over sensitive banking records to prosecutors and to close Trump Media accounts at the bank.

“We only recently became a public company in 2024, and we weren’t involved in January 6, 2021,” Nunes told Fox. “So why would Trump Media be subpoenaed at that time? It doesn’t add up.”

Nunes added that he wanted answers about why this happened and noted that, after months of discussion, the situation appeared political at the time, but now it’s understood that the bank was under subpoenas with which they did not inform Trump Media as they cooperated with the Biden administration’s DOJ.

Dimon reiterated his stance against debanking in his follow-up interview. “I don’t like debanking people. We operate under strict rules and requirements,” he said. “To protect the nation, we must report certain information to the government. I can’t even disclose when we do that because we’re not allowed.”

He also stressed that the bank would have no option but to comply with official orders. “We don’t hand over information to the government just because they ask,” he explained. “We are subpoenaed and required by court to provide it to the government.”
